Blue Milk: Supercute, Superfood Latte For A Healthy Start To Your Morning

The Anti-inflammatory, Pastel Treat We’ve Been Replacing our Morning Coffee With.

Blue Spirulina is a blue-green-algae which grows in ponds, lakes and alkaline waterways, which may be one of the reasons it’s known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Phycocyanin is a blue pigment derived from spirulina and this gives the algae its dark blue pigment when it has been extracted. Spirulina comes in a few different forms, but one of the most popular forms is in its Blue, powder version, possibly because of its stunning pastel appearance when added to any milk. Superfood lattes have been rapidly rising in popularity in recent years, starting with the classic “golden milk” or “turmeric latte”. These drinks are to be taken in the morning & are usually dairy and caffeine-free. Instead, it’s most commonly a blend of plant-based milk, powdered forms of superfood, and anything extra that you might like to add in for health benefits or flavour. The options are endless. These delicious lattes are healthy, cute and the perfect way to start your morning.

-1 tablespoon (7 grams) of Blue Spirulina

-2 tablespoons of warm water

-1 cup of oat milk (cold or hot, your preference)

-Raw honey to taste

How to Prepare:

Dissolve your blue spirulina in 2 tablespoons of recently boiled water. Stir well until completely smooth with no lumps.
